Good enough reason for Johannes Manger to travel to Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia for the first time to make contact with journalists and representatives of the industry. In Vilnius, 20 interested participants, among them journalists, constructors, representatives associations and travel agencies, listened to the presentation given by the BAU press officer. There is a lot of interest and for BAU 2009. this much is clear, there will again be several organised group tours from Lithuania.

For the first time, BAU stopped over in Japan. The presentation took place in the Architectural Institute of Japan in Tokyo. Tehran, Iran, 14 July 2008
Niloufar Penkar and Sam Pasha from the German-Iranian Chamber of Industry and Commerce chaired the BAU presentation in Tehran. Some 1000 visitors from Iran regularly come to BAU to make new contacts and gather information on new materials and technologies. In Iran, 65% of the more than 70 Million inhabitants are younger than 25 years. The market for private housing is booming, in spite of difficult basic conditions (capital flight, economic sanctions, atomic conflict). At the outskirts of large Iranian cities such as Tehran (12 to 14 Million inhabitants), Mashad (3 Mio) or Esfahan (2.4 Mio) in particular, new satellite towns are emerging.
